The in the diaphragm gas meter integrated valve (Smart valve) allows remote switching of gas supply. The expenditure of money and staff in case of moving house or defaulting tenant will be reduced enormously. Before restarting after shutting down the gas supply the meter checks for open points of consumption.  The Smart Valve makes an additional customer intervention at the remote switching unnecessary.
